While pursuing her undergraduate degree in psychology, Shantel worked as a program coordinator, serving youth aged 14-26 as they transitioned out of foster care. Upon attaining her master’s degree in social work, Shantel spent two years providing individual psychotherapy and behavioral interventions to youth aged 2-18 in a comprehensive care community mental health setting. She now works as the Director of Survivor Services to survivors of human trafficking and continues pursue her passion in serving vulnerable populations.
