Kate Trudell was the first Executive Director of the Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking from 2014-2019, and after a short hiatus, Kate returned to the role in 2021. She began her career working as a designer in the advertising industry, where she specialized in developing nonprofit marketing and fundraising campaigns. She went on to hold fund development positions for organizations like the YMCA and the YWCA of Nashville and Middle Tennessee before relocating with her family to East Tennessee.Kate has a BA in Fine Art from Furman University and is a graduate of the Consortium for Social Enterprise Effectiveness at the University of Tennessee Haslam School of Business. When Kate isn’t working to end human trafficking and injustice, she drinks too much coffee, listens to Bruce Springsteen, bakes her grandmother’s dessert recipes, and climbs trees with her husband and children
