gabi-smithOriginally from Brazil, Gabi has made East Tennessee her home since 2003. She attended East Tennessee State University for her bachelor’s in psychology, and then again for her master’s in criminal justice. She served as a Coordinated Community Response Specialist for the Washington County/Johnson City Family Justice Center to better assist victims of domestic and sexual abuse.

Gabi joined the CCAHT team in 2020 as a Community Care Liaison based in Johnson City. She is very excited to expand our efforts across our service region and better serve vulnerable populations in East Tennessee. She is passionate about making a change in the lives of those who have experienced hardships, and hopes to bring awareness to human trafficking in our communities.

Outside of work, Gabi enjoys spending time with her husband and pups, being outside, and traveling.
