4 Ways to Show Love to Survivors Served by the CCAHT

Interested in getting involved but don’t know where to start? There are many opportunities throughout the year to support survivors, but in this season of sharing the love, we wanted to highlight a few of our favorite ways to love on survivors right here in Knoxville that are served by CCAHT.

  1. Join our Family Table
The CCAHT safe house currently has 4 beds that bring comfort to women from East Tennessee and beyond. The Family Table program is a way for you to connect with these ladies through what we love the most in life: food! Through this program, you can sign up to cook dinner for the survivors that CCAHT serves. Interested in learning more? Sign up here.
  2. Send a Letter
When is the last time you received a personal letter in the mail that wasn’t a bill? Felt nice, right? Get involved today by sending an encouraging letter, note, or drawing to a survivor at the CCAHT safe house. You can send a letter anytime to PO Box 20937, Knoxville, TN 37940. If you send us a letter we may even feature you on social media!
  3. Support Survivors Through Gift Cards
When clients come to the CCAHT safe house, they usually come with empty hands and the clothes on their backs. To help with this we often give gift cards to clients to help them get back on their feet. This can be anything from a hot meal at Wendy’s to a pair of jeans from Ross. We are only able to do this through the gift card donations brought to us by our amazing community. If you’d like to join us and help survivors through gift cards you can reach our Program Coordinator, Lisa Bolton, at lisabolton@ccaht.org.
  4. Provide Direct Support
Provide direct support for survivors through their recovery process by signing up for monthly giving. Monthly giving is a great way to invest in the lives of those who have experienced trafficking, and this year you have a chance to be a part of something bigger happening in upper East Tennessee. If you’d like to invest in the lives and recovery of the survivors we serve, you can do so here.
