Hi! I am Ann Curry (but I’m not the famous, amazing TV journalist!).
I retired in January of 2015 after 30 years of service with the State of Tennessee Department of Probation and Parole. These days I spend a lot of my time outdoors, hiking, biking, kayaking, and running my own dog-walking business.
Last November I began volunteering for CCAHT and I immediately felt at home here. The mission and goals were very similar to my previous career in criminal justice. Being part of an organization that helps trafficking victims in unimaginable circumstances is very gratifying. Currently, I’m the volunteer coordinator and provide training and educational awareness for other CCAHT volunteers and community groups.
I feel so blessed finding my way to this organization during my retirement transition, and I love working with the two young and amazing women, Kate Trudell and Katie Peck. It’s an exciting time to be involved with CCAHT with our new initiatives on the horizon for a Knoxville safe house that will provide direct services to trafficking victims and new educational programs and partnerships with law enforcement. I feel so fortunate to be a part of this great organization!
